8/3/25 | The Trust We Give Away
Today, I saw a plane,
a speck of silver,
sunlight bouncing off metal
so far away it could’ve been a dream.
& still,
we trust it.
Without seeing the bolts or
the hands that tightened them,
without knowing the pilot’s name,
we buckle in & rise.
But when it comes to our own souls,
our own small wings,
we hesitate.
We anchor ourselves to the ground,
not because we can’t fly,
but because we fear we’re not allowed.
Here’s the honest truth:
The sky wasn’t put in your chest
just to keep you crawling.
You were made for the air.
Trust what was made.
Trust how you were made.
